This Friday's major release is going to be Vipul Shah's John Abraham starrer, FORCE. The film is expected to commence on a good to a decent start, especially at mass-oriented centers.
But FORCE has to perform well even during the weekdays to act as an elixir for John's career! From the remaining releases- SAHEB, BIWI AUR GANGSTER, HUM TUM SHABANA, TERE MERE PHERE, and charge sheet– only the first two films are expected to fare decently.
Last week saw the release of Pankaj Kapur's Shahid-Sonam starrer, MAUSAM. The film embarked on a good start in many places and was quite stable during the weekend. However, the weekdays saw a major drop and that does not augur well for the film. After a poor opening, the collections of RIVAAZ hit rock bottom. The film collected 5 lakhs from Bombay (collections from 10 cinemas unreceived), 3.50 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 2.35 lakhs from Delhi city and 1 lakh from Jaipur. Netting around 25 lakhs during the opening week RIVAAZ is a trade disaster.
