This week's new releases include JISM 2, FROM SYDNEY WITH LOVE, YEH JO MOHABBAT HAI and KRISHNA AUR KANS. It is obvious that it will be Bhatt camp's Sunny Leone starrer, JISM 2, which will be the front runner by a big margin, followed by the animated KRISHNA AUR KANS.
The other two releases of the week, FROM SYDNEY WITH LOVE and YEH JO MOHABBAT HAI, are not expected to make much of a mark at the ticket window.
Last Friday saw the release of Alt Entertainment's KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM and the Manish Manikpuri directed AALAAP. As expected it was the Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor starrer, KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM, which embarked a good start (especially at the multiplexes), and saw a noticeable growth during the weekend, netting 22-23 crores from India.
The film is all set to be another triumph for Balaji Telefilms Ltd., especially in view of the very reasonable selling price (21 crores) paid by the all India distributor STV Network Pvt. Ltd. KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM has not made much of a mark in the overseas grossing ?27,000 from UK and $84,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (27-29 July).
The other release of the week, Shri Shankracharya Arts Pvt. Ltd.'s AALAAP saw a poor opening and has failed at the box-office.
After a good opening week Illuminati Films' Homi Adajania directed Saif, Deepika and Diana starrer COCKTAIL, crashed in the second week, but the film is already a success thanks to the big opening week.
