This week will see a solo release in the form of the Yogesh Mittal directed Anupam Kher, Pawan Malhotra and Tena Desae starrer YEH FAASLEY. Given the fact that small and well made films are being patronized by the target audience, the makers of YEH FAASLEY have reasons to be hopeful.
Just as it was expected and predicted, the Madhavan and Kangna starrer, TANU WEDS MANU, started on a sedate note but picked up quite well during the weekend. The film also maintained well later on. It is being liked by the family audience and word of mouth is quite positive. Trade is hopeful of the film hitting the bull's eye. TANU WEDS MANU has also fared satisfactorily in the Overseas (with limited release) grossing ?28,000 from UK and $100,000 in the US during the opening weekend (25-27 February).
It is now obvious that Vishal Bhardwaj's 7 KHOON MAAF has been rejected by the masses and has not totally been patronized by the class audience either. The Priyanka Chopra starrer 7 KHOON MAAF has netted close to 15 crores during the opening week and faces a tough battle for survival in the coming week. The film has not done well in the Overseas grossing a poor ? 85,173 from UK and a somewhat better $253,274 from US till the second weekend (25-27 February).
The other releases of the same week, KACCHA LIMBOO and MASTI EXPRESS, are outright disasters with no significant collections to show.

Adding another 5.50 crores PATIALA HOUSE has netted 30 crores in two weeks from India. The Akshay-Anushka starrer has failed at the ticket window.
PATIALA HOUSE has done well in the UK grossing ?650,000 till the third weekend (25-27 February) but has under-performed in the US with a gross of $500,000.
Concluding with Sudhir Mishra's YEH SAALI ZINDAGI, despite the non-performance of PATIALA HOUSE, YSZ could not quite capitalize. The film collected 20 lakhs from Bombay (collections from 19 cinemas unreceived), 5 lakhs from Ahmedabad (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 1.35 lakhs from Baroda (collections from 3 cinemas unreceived), 2.55 lakhs from Pune (collections from other cinemas unreceived), 1 lakh from Nasik, 10 lakhs from Delhi city, 3.35 lakhs from Noida, 1.65 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 2 lakhs from Lucknow, 4 lakhs from Gurgaon, 2 lakhs from Calcutta, 2 lakhs from Indore, 1.35 lakhs from Jaipur (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived) and 5 lakhs from Bangalore.
