This Friday will witness three varied genre releases, Robbie Grewal’s R.A.W, Omung Kumar’s PM NARENDRA MODI and Oscar nominated Ashwin Kumar’s NO FATHERS IN KASHMIR. The front runner is obviously going to be John Abraham’s taut spy thriller R.A.W, followed by Vivek Oberoi starrer PM NARENDRA MODI while NO FATHERS IN KASHMIR will find select patronage at city multiplexes.
Coming to the clash between last week’s releases, Chuck Russel’s JUNGLEE and Salman Khan’s home production (Salma Khan produced) NOTEBOOK and Eros International’s GONE KESH went the expected and predicted way. BADLA is also on a good overseas run (great in US) grossing over $4m with £225,000 from UK and $1,865,000 from the US, till the fourth weekend (29-31 March).
Moving on, Maddock Films’ Kriti Sanon and Katrik Aryan starrer LUKA CHUPPI, added another 3 crore, thus netting 85 crore in four weeks from India and is a hit. LUKA CHUPPI has also performed very well in the overseas (especially US) grossing £140,000 from UK and $975,000 from the US.
Concluding with Fox Star Studios and Maruti International’s TOTAL DHAMAAL, the Indra Kumar directed Anil, Madhuri, Ajay, Arshad, Ritesh and Javed starrer, the film added another 2 crore and has netted 152 crore in five weeks from India and is a hit plus. TOTAL DHAMAAL is a good overseas hit grossing $6m plus with £515,000 from UK and $2,150,000 from the US.
