The major release of this coming Friday is Excel Entertainment’s Anil, Shefali, Priyanka, Farhan, Ranveer and Anushka starrer, DIL DHADAKNE DO. There is no doubt that the Zoya Akhtar directed DIL DHADAKNE DO will witness a good performance at city multiplexes and if the film can perform half as well at the single screens, it will be a win-win situation for the makers. DIL DHADAKNE DO is sure to capture the imagination of the overseas audience.
As expected the two new releases of the week, Vashu Bhagnani’s WELCOME TO KARACHI and the Mahaakshay-Evelyn starrer ISHQERDARRIYAAN, failed to match up to the week old TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS. Comparatively speaking it was the Arshad-Jackky starrer WELCOME TO KARACHI which fared much better netting around 6 crore during the opening weekend, while ISHQEDARRIYAAN was much lower at around a crore, during the same period.

Concluding with Akshay Kumar’s GABBAR IS BACK, the film added another 2 crore thus netting 88 crore in four weeks from India and is a semi-hit. The film has also done quite well in the overseas grossing £235,000 from UK and $575,000 from the US.
