Adv.

The major release of this Friday is going to be the three Deol starrer, YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2. Though film is all set for a good start but releasing so close to YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI (which will still be hot during the second weekend) may just affect its collections. Having said that the YPD brand image and good promotion will ensure a good outcome for YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2.

It is now old news that Ayan Mukerji's Ranbir-Deepika starrer, YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, has smashed many existing box-office records. After netting a record breaking 62 crore during the opening weekend, YJHD continued its stunning run even during the weekdays and is likely to race past the 100 crore mark on the 7th day. The question on everyone's lip is whether YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI will end up as a blockbuster or an all-time blockbuster! YJHD is also a big hit in the overseas grossing $4m with ?406,000 from UK and and $1,569,000 from the US during the opening weekend (May31- June 2).

Checking out Preity Zinta's ISHKQ IN PARIS, the film saw a poor run as it collected 30 lakhs from Bombay, 5 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 1.75 lakhs from Surat, 1.50 lakhs from Baroda, 4.15 lakhs from Pune, 1 lakh from Nasik, 1.15 lakh from Goa, 20 lakhs from Delhi city, 3.55 lakhs from Noida, 2.25 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 2 lakhs from Kanpur, 2.50 lakhs from Lucknow, 1 lakh from Agra, 4.65 lakhs from Gurgaon, 1 lakh from Faridabad, 1.50 lakhs from Chandigarh, 1 lakh from Jalandhar, 1.15 lakhs from Ludhiana, 10 lakhs from Calcutta, 1 lakh from Guwahati, 1.50 lakhs from Nagpur, 2 lakhs from Indore, 1 lakh from Gwalior, 1.75 lakhs from Bhopal, 5 lakhs from Jaipur (collections from 2 cinemas unreceived), 3 lakhs from Hyderabad and 7.50 lakhs from Bangalore.
