This Friday will see the release of Ashish R. Mohan's Akshay Kumar and Asin starrer, KHILADI 786. Given the highly popular audio score by Himesh, the very apt and catchy promos, and Akshay returning to his action image once again after the blockbuster success of ROWDY RATHORE, KHILADI 786 is expected to embark on a good to bumper start (barring high end Metro multiplexes and South).

Last week saw the release of Excel Entertainment's 45 crore (all inclusive cost, minus Aamir's remuneration) Reema Kagti directed Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, TALAASH – THE ANSWER LIES WITHIN.

The film has also done good business (bumper in US) in the overseas grossing ?386,500 from UK and $1,638,750 from the US, during the opening weekend (November 30 – December 2).

Meanwhile after a dull to slow start Ang Lee's LIFE OF PI managed a good show and has netted around 20 crore during the opening week from India, which given the competition is quite a creditable performance!
