This week's new releases include the Sanjay-Ajay starrer RASCALS, Zayed-Diya's LOVE, BREAKUPS, ZINDAGI and last but not the least Rajeev Khandelwal's SOUNDTRACK. From the three it is likely to be the David Dhawan directed RASCALS (that releases on Thursday) that will win this Friday's box-office battle although LOVE BREAKUPS ZINDAGI too is likely to get some patronage, while SOUNDTRACK, aimed at the discerning audience, may appeal at select cinemas.

Meanwhile the good to decent opening of Vipul Shah's John Abraham starrer, FORCE, was never in doubt, and it did precisely that. The film also maintained well during the weekend netting around 16 crores. However, the film has fallen sharply Monday onwards and that is not good news. In the overseas FORCE has disappointed by grossing ?66,000 from UK and $105,000 from the US during the opening weekend (30th September ? 2nd October).

From the other releases of the week- SAHEB, BIWI AUR GANGSTER, HUM TUM SHABANA, TERE MERE PHERE and CHARGESHEET – it was just SBAG that fared well. In fact the film showed an upsurge in collections during the weekdays and may just about be a plus fare! The remaining releases have failed.
