Bollywood Box Office Report Of The Week: 8 Nov 2019

This coming Friday will see multiple releases, headed by of course by Ayushmann Khurrana’s BALA, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Adah Sharma starrer BYPASS ROAD (still uncertain), the comedy film MR. BLACK MR. WHITE and Sooraj Pancholi’s SATTELITE SHANKAR. Needless to add that the front runner will be the Amar Kaushik directed BALA, though to an extent it will suffer some losses due to the still running UJDA CHAMAN, based on the same subject. 

Meanwhile,  Kumar Mangat Pathak’s Sunny Singh starrer, UJDA CHAMAN, could not make much of an impact at the ticket window collecting 7.50 crore during the opening weekend.

Netting 136 crores during the opening week from India and given the strong second-week trend HOUSEFULL 4 is on way to a super hit status and a double century. The film is also a good overseas hit grossing $5.50m with £500,000  from the UK and $1,720,000  from the US, till the second weekend (25-27 October).

Concluding with   Yash Raj Films’ Siddharth Anand directed super hit WAR, starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vani Kapoor, the film is ending its successful run as it collected 65 lakhs from Bombay, 20.75 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 21.75 lakhs from Surat, 26.50 lakhs from Pune,  20 lakhs from Delhi city, 10 lakhs from Noida, 15 lakhs from Calcutta and 10 lakhs from Hyderabad. The film added another 5 crores and has thus netted 301 crores in four weeks from India and is a super hit. WAR is also an overseas super hit (especially US) grossing over $13m with £710,000  from the UK and $4,490,000  from the US.
