For the fans of macho man, Sunny Deol, this week is going be an unconventional one! The actor will be seen in a romantic/social entertainer for a change. Not that there are any doubts about his acting capabilities as he has shown his versatility in romantic flicks like BETAAB, SUNNY, DARR as well DILLAGI (off course with some action thrown in!). Unfortunately, the film in question, I LOVE NY, also featuring the lady of the moment, Kangana Ranaut, was postponed from last year, and this time around it has not been given enough time and promotion, despite good music and production values.
The new releases of last week GUDDU RANGEELA, SECOND HAND HUSBAND and BEZUBAAN ISHQ, fared as expected. It was just the Arshad-Amit starrer, GUDDU RANGEELA, which saw a reasonable weekend netting nearly 6 crore and can still hope for a recovery. SECOND HAND HUSBAND came in a poor second with around a crore while BEZUBAAN ISHQ saw dismal collections.
Meanwhile coming to the older releases, MISS TANAKPUR HAAZIR HO and UVAA, both the films have failed at the box-office. Comparatively speaking MISS TANAKPUR HAAZIR HO managed around 1.25 crore during the opening week while UVAA managed negligible collections.
