STANLEY KA DABBA: A treat for children in the summer vacations

While STANLEY KA DABBA is being marketed as a film made for children and trying to address their problems in the physical space aka school, where they spent large part of their time, indeed it is a film that points pointed fingers at the parents as also the system which does not bother about at all how the children are growing in the school. Indeed, there is a miniscule minority which does exist in a sanitized atmosphere oblivious of the reality that pans around them in the country on a daily basis, STANLEY KA DABBA is a reality check for such scenario and this is what makes it hit, as majority of the parents have to endear and endure the dilemma as presented for their children in daily life, and underlined in succinct detail in STANLEY KA DABBA.

An incident of the film which the teachers rarely think about is how to provide adequate writing space to those children who write with their left hands, it just is a sensitivity about the problem that can also facilitate the solution as Divya Dutta's character in STANLEY KA DABBA shows. In the same manner, the lack of appreciation about out of box thinking by a child in execution of a project by a teacher has been underlined in succinct manner by Amole Gupte in STANLEY KA DABBA. It indeed is a manner in which the teachers majorly conduct their business in the schools, by asking one child or the other to keep on reading a chapter and they themselves passing their time of the period, and it is being written with conviction after talking to a number of students on the matter.

STANLEY KA DABBA is being liked by the children because they live under the morbid fear of not being able to tell to their parents the manner in which they are treated in the class, and now that the parents are able to see a part of it through STANLEY KA DABBA, may be they would start believing in their wards as well. After all, the parents are also responsible in their own way in not providing the conducive atmosphere to the children to help them grow naturally. May be, now that the film has been given an entertainment tax relief in Delhi and other states, more states would step forward and give this relief to STANLEY KA DABBA so that more and more children come forward and see the film along with their parents.

If it is done, then Amole Gupte's efforts would indeed emerge as a tripping point in Hindi cinema in particular and the Indian society in general.
