He chases a woman and says, “I’m somebody who can get anybody but I want nobody apart from your body.”. his big brother gives an advice, “Tu dil jeet lega, who jism de degi” (rough translation – win her heart, body will be yours). A woman comes out from a pool in a two piece and says, “Pata nahi mere honthon ko tumne kya rishwat di hai … mujhse zyada tumhari sunte hai” (I wonder what spell you have casted on my lips, they listen to you more than they listen to me). The guy in response, “mujhe bhi apne honthon se yehi shikayat hai” (I have the same complaint with my lips). Director Vishal Pandya – is this a feature film or something else..
Whatever HATE STORY 4 is, one thing is for sure, either you love it, or hate it but you cannot ignore it, franchises like HATE STORY 4 will be popping up till the existence of mankind and provide titillations to its target front benchers and earn money.
The story of HATE STORY that began in 2012 has already climbed 3 STOREYS till now. Interestingly we have a movie by the title 3 STOREYS also released this week. While 3 STOREYS has three plots and a sub plot in one film, HATE STORY in all its four series has the same plot idea of sex, erotica, badla, and cheese.
Only the oomph quotient changes and here the alleged wannabe Urvashi Rautelaji has in her jism and body rhythm (Dialogue writer Milap Zaveri sahab, rhyming can be done at will by us also janab). Anyways, Zaveri has gone all out over here with utterly cheesy lines that pop at a throw of a hat. Sample this, “ bistar ke chadar badle ja sakte hai, mashoka nahi’ (“You can change your bedsheets every day but not the lover who slept on it). Bedroom me kiye hue vaadon ki ahmiyat boardroom me nahi hoti (promises made in bed rooms doesn’t hold any significance in board meetings).
If you are interested in knowing the story of this cheesy, erotic glory, here it goes. Rajveer (Karan Wahi) and Aryan (Vivaan Bhatena) are sons of a business tycoon Mr Khurana (Gulshan Grover). Big brother Aryan is going steady with his associate Reshma (Ihana Dhillon). A requirement for a fresh face for a cosmetic brand introduces Tasha (Urvashi Rautela), to small brother Rajveer who is a photographer. Tasha shares her desire to be a star and obviously Rajveer helps her to realize her dreams.
Things take a cliché turn when a desire for Tasha develops in the mind of bade bhaiya Aryan and the rest is a cheesy and erotic revenge saga targeted to the audience who have given the confidence to the makers to churn four installments till now, don,t be surprised if you have the fifth. A line in the movie says it all, ‘ This is not a love story, this is a hate story and it has just began”.
Urvashi Rautela is the best choice, she may not have the right acting chips but she definitely has the oomph, Vivaan and Karan just pass the muster. Ihana Dhillon is okay. Gulshan Grover gets less scope. Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Aashiq Banaya’ is wasted. A hit number is missing.
So, the moral of the story is we will keep hating, the target audience will continue loving till the date they decide to change their character and yell this line from the film, “I am the twist in the plot and I will make sure you lose.”. tab tak ( till then) HATE STORY 4 ko bhi success story banaya aapne.
