Abhinav Singh Kashyap has already taken 'punga' with one of the mighty Khans of Bollywood and it seems he is all set to cross swords with King Khan with his latest film BESHARAM.
While the film's first look and trailer that was recently released on line has some tongue-in-cheek references to his first feature DABANGG, it also takes a wacky dig at DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE, the blockbuster directed by Aditya Chopra starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.
The trailer opens with a shot of Ranbir Kapoor, with his back to the audience, peeing in a mustard field and sensuously gyrating while humming the super hit song of DDLJ 'Tujhe Dekha To Ye Jana Sanam'. It looks like a harmless funny act.
However, some felt it also had the explosive potential to hurt the ultra-sensitive ego of a Bollywood star who might get pissed off by Ranbir's 'peeing' act.
When asked if the shot was some kind of a metaphor or statement and if the director was wittingly or unwittingly taking yet another 'punga' with another mighty Khan, Abhinav Singh Kashyap defended the shot and said that it was not the case and if SRK felt offended in any way, he would apologize to him.
On being probed further as to why should he apologize to anyone about his film, he sidetracked the question saying, 'Bachhe ki jaan le ke rahoge kya'.
It is interesting to note that some time back there were rumors about Shah Rukh Khan doing a film with Abhinav Singh Kashyap.
