Though upcoming film BOL BACHCHAN is another Rohit Shetty style of cinema with his linchpin Ajay Devgn, the entire attention is on Abhishek Bachchan, another lead of the film. In fact, the film is touted to instill life in Abhishek’s sinking career. So, ask Abhishek if he is cashing on his surname since the title BOL BACHCHAN carries his last name and he replies, “I have never cashed in on my name till date why should I start it now?”

Abhishek’s last few films RAAVAN, KHELEIN HUM JEE JAAN SEY, GAME, PLAYERS, which came back-to-back, were a complete no-show, but that hasn’t deterred the actor to move on. In fact, Junior Bachchan shows a rational approach towards his failures saying, “One has to deal with flops. Thankfully, you carry on working. It’s never nice to talk about it. It’s never a pleasant experience to feel it. Nobody wants to make an unsuccessful film. Everybody works very hard to make a successful film. I don’t find it easy.”
“An actor has to take the responsibility of his film. I don’t want any excuses. I don’t like to blame that the film did not work because the editor didn’t edit the film properly or the director didn’t promote it in right manner et al. I don’t want to point fingers on anybody. I want to take complete responsibility of my film. Atleast at the end of the day I can say I did everything that I could do for the film. Now if the film doesn’t work what can one do?,” he adds.

With changing times, Abhishek has not only matured as a person but also as an actor. “Times have changed now. When I started my career I used to 5-6 films a year. I think the demand for an actor or lead pair has changed. It’s no more recurring,” says Abhishek.
But prod Abhishek if this modification in his approach and outlook came as he turned producer with PAA and he says, “My approach as producer came because the kind of actor I was. I have been born and brought up in this industry. When I made PAA in a certain amount I wanted my distributors and exhibitors to earn money from it. Likewise, I made BBUDDAH HOGA TERRA BAAP in an even less budget so that everyone can make monies out of it.
Though one may feel being a star son and a terrific actor industry has not given enough due to Abhishek, he says people have been kind to him.
“I think I have been given too much due. People consider me a much better actor than actually I am…I have lot more to do. They are too kind to me,” says the modest actor.
Despite coming from a family with bundle of talent and knowledge, Abhishek believes there’s lot more to learn. “I am very harsh on myself. An actor is always the worst critics. I have genuinely believed that there is so much more to do and learn,” says Abhishek
Also starring Asin and Prachi Desai BOL BACHCHAN is all set to release on 6th July 2012.
