Sequels are in. While Part I and II of GANGS OF WASSEYPUR released in quick succession just a few weeks back, the biggest of them all, DABANGG 2, is all set to arrive this December. Meanwhile plans are also being put together for the release of SAHEB, BIWI AUR GANGSTER 2 which is a true blue sequel of the first part that had made a smashing impact amongst the audience. With the film’s shoot coming to an end and director Tigmanshu Dhulia getting busy with the post production, Jimmy Sheirgill – who plays ‘Saheb’ in the film – reflects on his experience of working in his first ever sequel.

“The film picks up from where it had left,” says Jimmy who was seen as paralysed in the concluding scene of the film,” I am on a wheel chair, Biwi (Mahie Gill) has taken control, the driver (Randeep Hooda) is no more and we have moved six months ahead in our life. ‘What happens next’ forms the crux of the film.”

“How does a gangster (Irrfan Khan) arrive on the scene and where does Soha (Ali Khan) really pitch in; I was always intrigued to know about their lives and be a part of it. Thankfully, Tigmanshu has ensured that the film along with its twists and turns out to be the ‘baap’ of the first one,” he adds.
If the claims are true indeed, it may just be about time that the film finds a theatrical release for itself sooner than later.
