Adah-Vidyut’s COMMANDO 3 is fair, John’s PAGALPANTI disappoints!

The major new release of the week, Reliance Entertainment’s Vidyut-Adah starrer COMMANDO 3, the next in the successful COMMANDO franchise, saw a fair 10-15 percent start with a slight pick up towards the latter shows.

Given the reasonable reviews and feedback from the audience preferring slick action, the film should end up with a decent weekend haul.

The other new releases of the week, especially YEH SAALI ASHIQUI, could attract much of an audience.

Meanwhile, Bhushan Kumar’s John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat and Ileana D’Cruz starrer, PAGALPANTI, could not capitalize on the quite decent 21 crore weekend and ended the week netting a disappointing 28 crore and faces a bleak prospect the box-office.

Concluding with Siddharth-Ritesh’s MARJAAVAAN, after a good to decent 38 crores opening week, the film saw a big fall but still managed to scrape through to a 45 crore total at the end of the second week. The film should be a profitable venture (not a big one!) for the makers, after accounting for the non-theatrical rights.
