Akshay Kumar, the Khiladi of Bollywood has had some amazing hits in the past and has always struck the right chord when it comes to making different choice of films. After winning national award for RUSTOM and AIRLIFT, he will now be seen in TOLIET: EK PREM KATHA, which talks about open defecation.
TOILET has so far created the right buzz with its trailers and songs. However, its first song ‘Hans Mat Pagli’ got mixed reviews, but it was badly thrashed for being a song that shows Akshay aka Radhe stalking his lady love Bhumi.
During media interactions when asked him about the controversy about the song Akshay Kumar said, “No doubt it does that (stalking), especially when I’m (secretly) clicking a photograph, but when you see the film, you will realize that the girl knows it. Sometimes, the girl does it and I let it go, because I want her to have my photograph. Waise toh yaar, main bhi jab kahin se aata hoon toh I’m photographed by the paparazzi. Isn’t that stalking? No one asks them whether they are stalking!”
“When I am photographed by media at airport or anywhere, isn’t that stalking do they ask me?” ends Akshay Kumar.
Well, AkKi we believe that actors and films create a huge impact on the society. When a star like you, who is followed and looked upto by millions, shows a stalking angle in the film and then justifies by saying that paparazzi also does the same with different, it certainly defies the logic.
We beg to differ as these are two different things and can’t be compared directly! Clicking pictures is part of paparazzi’s job (and most stars also love being in front of camera or hog limelight), while films inspire society and vice-versa.
