Richa Chadda is pretty gung-ho about his upcoming production SHORTS. The film which consists of five short films, stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadda among other actors.

Says Anurag, ”The film was shot during the filming of GANGS OF WASSEYPUR. All the directors of SHORTS were assistants of the film. They picked up their own actors from the film and they quietly approached them and made their films.”

Anurag believes that short films will do very well in the future.

He says, ”Short films are the future. The screen is becoming smaller and so are the films. Another advantage of short films is that the budget is not as high as a feature film. It is a misconception that short films aren’t popular. People might not watch them in theatres, but they are very popular on the internet.”

He further adds, ”In India there’s a psychological barrier that if a film has been in festivals, it is boring. It is a problem with exhibitors. I believe that barrier can be removed by the media. But the media is actually escalating the problem.”

Talking about the difficulties in releasing a film the filmmaker says,” It is the responsibility of every filmmaker to release his film. It’s a struggle but one has to stand up and find a way. I did the same one day and released my first film.”

SHORTS is all set to release tomorrow.
