This Friday’s premier release, the Manoj Bajpayee, Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Kapoor starrer, TEVAR, was off to a decent start at the box-office. The film saw a reasonable 35-45 percent occupancy at the single screens (specially at massy centres), while the multiplexes were expectedly lower at below 30 percent.

The performance is all the more creditable given that PK is still managing good footfalls at the multiplexes, despite running in the fourth week.
Meanwhile, the two new releases of last Friday, MUMBAI CAN DANCE SAALA and TAKE IT EASY, failed to get the attention of the audience and flopped at the ticket window.
Concluding with Rajkumar Hirani’s Aamir-Anushka starrer, PK, the film continued to conquer new box-office glories and establish new records at the same time (for the first, second and third week), netting in the 315-320 crore band, after 3 weeks, just from India. PK is also the first Indian film to gross $10m from the US.
Needless to add that PK is an all time blockbuster for the worldwide distributors, UTV and Disney.
