Ayushmann Khurrana managed a great start for himself with VICKY DONOR. He would soon be seen in NAUTANKI SAALA. Meanwhile he would also be beginning work on HAMARA BAJAJ with his VICKY DONOR director Shoojit Sircar. With a steady beginning to his career, he is looking forward to much better days ahead, now that he has managed to find a footing in the industry.

”There are only a handful of people who have made their mark while transitioning from TV to films. To be fair to one and all, every VJ has got an opportunity in films but unfortunately nobody has created a buzz or delivered a hit. I am not saying that I was supremely talented or anything to have managed that but then I am fortunate to have got a right director that gave me a chance. From being an anchor, I have managed to form a niche for myself in the world of films. I am not going to blow it all that away,” says Ayushmann in a confident tone.

However there was this recent fiasco involving Kunal Kohli where the filmmaker came up with quite a few verbal volleys that ended up shocking Ayushmann no less.
”It was due to date issues as I am busy with NAUTANKI SAALA,” sighs Ayushmann, ”As for the verbal volleys then well, ever since the school days, I have never picked up a fight with anyone. Even though I have played an anchor for a good part of my career, ironically I have never been vocal as a person. I have always been non-controversial and that’s all the more reason why so many out there who know me were surprised that someone was talking about me in such a tone. Moreover to be tagged as arrogant is least of all the traits that I possess. So yes, on reading the news, I was surprised and shocked.”
