Day by day Bollywood filmmakers and actors are taking the onus of making more realistic films based on the problems actually faced by the people living in the Indian society.
Ayushmann Khurrana has always entertained the audience with unconventional stories offered by his films like VICKY DONOR, DUM LAGA KE HAISHA and now SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN.
Interestingly in VICKY DONOR we saw Ayushmann donating sperm which eventually brings happiness into the life of childless couples whereas in SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN the actor will be playing a character who suffers from erectile dysfunction (ED).
At the trailer launch of the film the actor said, “SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN is antithesis of VICKY DONOR and I think when two people are truly in love then their relationship is beyond sex so our film is trying to tell that we should talk openly about this problem and instead of shying away from admitting to it one should go and take medical help.
His co-star Bhumi added, “Our film celebrates the imperfections of a relationship as no relation is perfect. Usually in films we see happy people, everything is great and perfect but we never focus on such issues (ED) which though seem to be small but are very important. Also it talks about true love and how lovers can win over the toughest battle if they stick together.”
Well it’s really interesting to watch filmmakers and actors come forward to tell stories which our society feels too shy to talk about openly.
Directed by R S Prasanna SHUBH MANGAL SAAVDHAN will hit the silver screens on September 1.
