2012 saw many talented actors making their debut in Bollywood. Most of them delivered successful films and managed to make a mark in the industry. While few have already signed their next films and are busy shooting, few are still finalising scripts.

Arjun Kapoor: The actor, who took four years to lose his extra weight, made a dream debut under Yash Raj Films' banner with ISHAQZAADE. His portrayal of Parma Chauhan in the film impressed the audience as well as the critics. Arjun is now shooting for his upcoming film GUNDAY that also stars Ranveer Singh.

Ayushmann Khurrana: From being a reality show contestant to a popular show anchor, Ayushmann's debut as an actor proved immensely successful. Though the actor starred in an unconventional film like VICKY DONOR, the film's producer John Abraham left no stone unturned to promote it efficiently and thus make it a success. Post its release, Ayushmann signed and then even stepped out of Kunal Kohli's film. The actor is currently shooting NAUTANKI SAALA! directed by Rohan Sippy.

The actor starred in Karan Johar's new-age romantic film STUDENT OF THE YEAR. Though no announcement regarding his second film has been made, it is expected to see more of him in the years to come.

Varun Dhawan: To get to work with Dharma Production and be directed by Karan Johar in the very first film is always a dream debut for any actor. And Varun Dhawan, who feels the same, made the most of the opportunity. Not only has he managed to impress the captain of the ship KJo with his performance in STUDENT OF THE YEAR, but also received applauses from the audience.

Alia Bhatt: Playing a cute, loveable and of course a gorgeous girl and dancing to the romantic tunes of STUDENT OF THE YEAR made Alia Bhatt an overnight star. Alia will be seen next opposite Randeep Hooda in Imtiaz Ali's HIGHWAY.

Ileana D'Cruz: For an actress who has proved her worth down south, to make a Bollywood debut successful is a huge responsibility. Ileana chose an intriguing film BARFI! which gave her immense scope to showcase her acting skills to the Bollywood buffs and thus concreted her position in the industry. Ileana's next is ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI 2.

Esha Gupta: Esha Gupta made her debut with JANNAT 2 and went on to do two more important projects like RAAZ 3 and CHAKRAVYUH in the same year. The actress is surely on her way to make it big in Bollywood.

Diana Penty: Diana was a part of the contemporary love-triangle saga COCKTAIL also starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. The star value of her co-actors could have easily demeaned her presence, but Diana's performance caught audience's eye-balls.

Huma Qureshi: Unlike many other actresses, who feel that typical Bollywood masala flicks give debutants a perfect start, Huma chose an unconventional film like Anurag Kashyap's GANGS OF WASSEYPUR. Like they say that content is the king, GOW emerged a hit and Huma was accepted by the industry with open arms. Later, in the same year, Huma starred in LUV SHUV TEY CHIKCEN KHURANA.
