While Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is currently in news for serving the jail term, he is known to be the man with a heart of gold (just like Salman Khan). On his birthday today, we bring you good deeds of the actor that are not much spoken about. Take a look…
Sanjay Dutt is believed to have gone through a bad financial condition till he got support in the form of actor friend Suniel Shetty. And that seems to have affected Sanju baba in a good way, which is why he is known to have done many good deeds in his lifetime.
Sanjay Dutt is one of those actors who receives respect from all (whether big or small) from the industry, because he is known to treat them all with respect. One can also hear stories of this actor either paying a spotboy from his pocket, through his contacts from the union or completely refuses to shoot till the worker gets his due. This is also one of the main reasons why he is also known as the ‘friend of the industry’.
A journalist also reportedly claims to know about Sanju’s good deeds. He was quoted saying that, “I still remember one night he was driving me back into town after a night at 'Jazz by the Bay' with Rhea and a few friends. I was admiring his BMW when he did the unthinkable. On the steep slope leading up to the bridge over Kemps Corner, he stopped. 'Go on! Drive it,' he told me… Of course I didn't drive the dream automatic. But I did see a raw emotion in a man often accused of being unemotional. Sanju is far from unemotional, he's just learnt to keep it within. The turmoil only shows in those hurt, vulnerable eyes.”
Not many might be aware, but reportedly Sanjay Dutt is also known to help patients suffering from AIDS, cancer and spastic paralysis and supports autistic children. He is also believed to have taken on his father Sunil Dutt’s legacy including his charitable institutions, e.g. the Nargis Dutt Memorial Foundation, founded by Sunil in memory of Nargis, which provides access to medical treatment for indigent cancer patients. Sanjay Dutt, who has never shied away from speaking about his drug problem and moreover how to deal with the addiction, is also known to support the NGO helping street children to get away from drugs, and is available as a consultant for drug addicts at any time.
Sanjay Dutt is also said to have issued a cheque of Rs 1.28 lakh to Satish Devkar, a peon working with a telecom company in the city, towards the surgery of his six-month-old daughter Shravani, who was born with a cardiac defect.
Sanjay Dutt as per the reports also started an initiative, 'Help Concert' to help December 2004 Tsunami victims.
