A sheer déjà vu that celebrates Bollywood and its music, like in previous 2016 when during the introductory scene Wade Wilson – the masked mutant-vigilante played by Ryan Reynolds jiggles into the backseat of a cab driven by Indian-origin cabbie, Dopinder (Karan Soni), the stereo of the taxi is playing the vintage Bollywood number 'Mera Joota Hai Japani' from Raj Kapoor’s MERA NAAM JOKER (1970).
Much to the delight of Indians and Srkians all around the globe, during the climax of its sequel DEADPOOL 2 released yesterday, when Deadpool, Cable and Domino are headed en route to stop Firefist from torching up an orphanage, we hear the song playing 'Yun Hi Chala Chal Raahi' from Shah Rukh Khan ‘s Swades (2004) playing in Dopinder's taxi.
And that’s not all, when Cable (Josh Brolin) asks Dopinder to turn down the music, Deadpool in his trademark style calls him a racist. The moment is an absolute delight that will make the fans of SRK cheering loud.
DEADPOOL 2 – The sequel to the most successful R –rated super hero sci fi fantasy action comedy directed by David Leitch starring Ryan Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand and Karan Soni has opened to pack houses in India. Ranveer Singh has given the voice over for the Hindi version; the movie is also released in Tamil and Telugu.
