Deepika Padukone-Arjun Kapoor’s FINDING FANNY music acquired by Sony Music

Sony Music Entertainment’s Bollywood repertoire gets richer with the addition of yet another multi-starrer, FINDING FANNY. The film is a combination of seasoned actors like Nasseruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia & gen-next stars Deepika Padukone & Arjun Kapoor in prominent roles. The film is based on a road trip set in Goa that follows the journey of five characters.

Music for the film is composed by versatile music director and guitarist Mathias Duplessy who has composed music for movies like DELHI IN A DAY, PEEPLI LIVE, MASCAREDE, BOMBAY SUMMER, FAKIR OF VENICE and ZE FILM. He has also given music for animated movies, theatre and dance shows. Over the years he has developed a unique style of guitar ‘impro’ in which he not only plays the guitar but also uses it as a small hand drum, producing the most amazing music. The music of the film is diverse with beautiful lyrics, and great vocals.

Mathias Duplessy, who has composed the title song ‘Fanny Re’ is highly creative and experimental with his compositions that suitably matches with the theme of the movie.”

FINDING FANNY is an off the wall, comical story about a bunch of oddballs who venture out to find Fanny. In the process, they discover a strange sense of solace and love amongst each other, and end up seeing a point to their previously pointless lives.

The film is slated for release on 12th September 2014 & the music will be out and available digitally by 11th of Aug 2014.
