Every week throws up surprises at the box-office. Just when one thinks that a new record has been established, the following week throws up a new one!
Those following our box-office reports and updates will remember that just last month PIKU managed the best opening weekend gross of 2015, with $2.30m. But it was just a matter of weeks before TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS grossed $2.70m during it’s first weekend, setting a new benchmark for the year. This time it is the giant killer and the seemingly infallible TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS which has to bear the brunt, but only in the overseas.
However, the latest release on the block, DIL DHADAKNE DO, has now dethroned TWMR by grossing $3.50m during the inaugural weekend of it’s overseas run.
Well, with the second half of 2015 still remaining, we will surely see many more records, both in the overseas as well as India. Keep 'em coming Bollywood!
