Renowned Sufi singer Satinder Sartaaj stars in THE BLACK PRINCE, wherein he plays Maharaj Duleep Singh who was known as Black Prince of Perthshire. The film talks about life of the prince, while Satinder has nailed the character of legendary king with ease.
Apart from a sufi singer he also pens down beautiful poems, as he was working with Shabana Azmi for the first time, he recited few poems to her.
In an exclusive conversation with Sartaaj he spoke about sharing screen space with Shabana Azmi, reciting some of his jewels that he wrote and acing the act of Maharaj Duleep Singh for the film.
Speaking about the film he said, “It was a an amazing feeling to shoot for the film. I didn’t ever think of sharing screen space with legendary actor Shabana Azmi. She was floored by my acting. In fact she didn’t believe that this is my debut film. I also recited few poems of mine to her and she told Javed Sahab about my poems. I shall cherish this experience for life.”
