Shah Rukh Khan’s RAEES & Salman Khan’s SULTAN clash has been the hot topic in Bollywood since the release dates of the two films have been announced. When we interviewed the producers of RAEES, Ritesh Sidhwani & Farhan Akhtar they had something to say about the clash and how RAEES is shaping up.

Ask Ritesh how is RAEES progressing and he says, “It will be out next Eid, we have still about one schedule left, around 20-25 days work left with Shah Rukh. We finish that in November and then the movie is ready for next Eid release.”
Talking about the clash, Ritesh said, “I have also heard about this, I think they should start shooting for the film maybe then we’ll talk and figure out what needs to be done.”
Farhan added, “These kind of things have happened in the past where films have come on same date and clashed. In all honesty, it benefits nobody. Like Ritesh just said that we’ve got about 20-25 days of shoot left on RAEES, so the fact that can we release the film on Eid next? Yes it’s possible. Would we like to release it? Yes we would like to release it. The fact is, let them make their film, if it comes to a point where Aditya, Ritesh, Shah Rukh, Salman & me need to sit down and try to put our brains together and figure out something. Eventually we have to; nothing is going to happen in a way where we’re going to try and create a conflict or war, it genuinely benefits nobody. It affects them as much as it affects us. So the fact is that we’ll get to that. Right now it’s too early to talk about what will happen, nobody has dug their heels in, none of that has happened. So we’ll arrive at it. There will be some kind of resolution that will have to be reached and it will hopefully be reached in a way that it benefits everybody.”
Do we take a hint from this and assume that the two films might just not clash on Eid next year? Well, we’ll have to wait for the next announcement by either of the team. All we say is that we will be eagerly waiting to know about it!
