After making his debut with Farhan Akhtar’s FUKREY, Varun Sharma will be next seen in Arbaaz Khan’s production DOLLY KI DOLI. And he’s done with 80% of the shoot. Ask him how he became a part of the film and Varun says, ”After watching FUKREY, Arbaaz Khan gave me a call for narration.” However, quiz Varun if Pulkit Samrat, who was his co-star in FUKREY, was also influential in getting him the project, since he has been quite close to Salman Khan, and he says, ”That would be sweet if he did so. But I think Arbaaz really liked my work in FUKREY and that’s how I was casted.”

Since, Pulkit and Varun are once again coming together in DOLLY KI DOLI, probe him how was it teaming up again and Varun says, ”It was great working together again. It was a Deja vu feeling for both of us. I was more than happy to see my partner-in-crime Pulkit for the second time.”
While in FUKREY Varun played a juvenile-yet-notorious high school going boy, DOLLY KI DOLI will see Varun playing a much older, 27-year old mature office going man. ”Yes I play a 27-year old happy-go-lucky Delhi guy. While my character in FUKREY had lot of bachpana, whereas in DOLLY KI DOLI, I play a character who enjoys his own space, he is very family-oriented person. He sees a great transition and with the upside down how his entire perception gets changed towards life,” Varun opens up on his role in the film.
Though in both the films FUKREY and DOLLY KI DOLI, his character is based in Delhi and conned by a woman, the two are as different as chalk and cheese. Varun clears, ”My character in DOLLY KI DOLI has lot of heart. It has lot of maturity. He is intelligent and does sensible things. However, he’s not nerd or boring. I think his quirkiness and amateurish funny manner makes him endearing.”

Varun is all praise of producer Arbaaz Khan. ”He is a very nice and wonderful person. Arbaaz is not just an amazing producer but he is also a good human being. I have seen both the parts of DABANGG and vouch for his work,” Varun says, when asked about Arbaaz Khan.
Poke him if feels elated to have worked with the big names of Bollywood, Farhan Akhtar and Arbaaz Khan right in the beginning and gradually become a part of Salman Khan’s camp and he gets modest, ”It’s definitely best feeling and moment of high to have worked with Farhan Akhtar and Arbaaz Khan. It’s gripping and interesting. But I am still a kid in the vast film industry and have just started out. I am too small to talk about anything right now. Even if I am doing a short film or a Theatre Play or working with a first time director/producer, I would’ve felt the same.”
Also starring Sonam Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, DOLLY KI DOLI, directed by debutant director Abhishek Dogra, is produced by Arbaaz Khan
