I am glad that people appreciated the film. Coming from Vidya Balan who is also part of the film, I really liked it that she praised me. She said that she liked my work. Moreover my parents also loved my role. My dad who is aging is proud of my work and my mom is always in awe of me. Nigaar Khan (my sister) who is my biggest critic loved my work and said ‘Gau you are my rockstar.’
What things do you keep in mind before selecting a film or a role?
I take into consideration everything, most importantly the character, how impactful the role is. Majorly I should enjoy the role and script only then can I deliver.
Qualities that make you have an edge over others?
I am a person who gives all my heart to a person. I am very emotional even if someone hurts me I feel there is something good in them. I am sensitive and that’s why I have a strong heart. I love my family for love and appreciation. Moreover, I am loyal, fun loving and hard working.
The best part about being in this profession?
You can play diverse roles and portray several things with emotions.
'I am very sensitive and emotional'
One film which inspired you to become an actor?
I always wanted to be an actor. Since childhood I would get dressed, look into the mirror and make facial expressions. I was impressed with this profession since childhood.
You have an amazing figure what is your fitness regime? Is being good-looking important in the industry?
I go to gym. I follow the diet well, no oily and fried food for me. We need to look presentable as it’s a visual medium.
Tell us about your dream role?
Priyanka Chopra’s role in BARFI and Sridevi’s role in SADMA are my favourite.
You haven’t worked with Khans, but one thing that you would like to imbibe from each of the three Khans (Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh Khan).
They are all superstars and I would love to work with them. Salman Khan is a superstar and his persona is something you can’t get your eyes off. While Aamir Khan is school of talent, I will faint if I work with him. Shah Rukh Khan is a charmer, perfect romantic hero. I even want to work with Farhan Akhtar.

Yes it is prevalent but everyone faces hardships. If someone is supporting you it’s your choice. I don’t like pointing fingers. I believe to each it’s own.
If romance knocks your door what would you choose romance or career?
If he loves me surely he will understand that career is important and I will also understand that his career is important.
What is your next project?
Nothing that I can talk about.
