This week’s major release, Pooja Bhatt’s Sunny Leone starrer, JISM 2, was expected to embark on a good start thanks to the erotic thriller theme and some very good promotion.
Unfortunately, shoddy direction and weak script marred its chances. The start can be termed as good to decent (50-70 percent), but the mixed feedback, titling towards negative does not auger well for the Bhatt venture. And hence cracks were apparent during the latter shows of the first day itself. Thankfully the reasonable budget may make it a safe proposition for all concerned

The other releases of the week, YEH JO MOHABBAT HAI and the animated KRISHNA AUR KANS, have all failed to make a mark, with openings varying from weak to poor.
Meanwhile after a good weekend (22-23 crore), Alt Entertainment’s Tusshar-Ritesh starrer, KYAA SUPER KOOL HAIN HUM, maintained it’s good run during the weekdays too and ended the week netting 35 crore from India. Given the 21 crore selling price paid by all India distributor, STV Network Pvt. Ltd. the film is on way to be a big commercial success.
