Google honoured Singer B.B King on his birth anniversary

B.B. King, was an American singer-songwriter. His birth name was Riley B King. King was born on a cotton plantation in Itta Bena, Mississippi.

Google has honoured iconic American singer B.B. King on his 94th birth anniversary on September 16 with a doodle. Google Doodle has been illustrated by Little Rock-based guest artist Steve Spencer.

Riley B. King was born on September 16, 1925. He worked at WDIA as a singer and disc jockey, where he was given the nickname "Beale Street Blues Boy", later shortened to "Blues Boy"

To address his calling to music, B.B. King began his career in juke joints and local radio.

King was married twice, to Martha Lee Denton, November 1946 to 1952, and to Sue Carol Hall, 1958 to 1966.

B.B. King died on May 14, 2015 in Las Vegas. He was 89.

The remaining eight shows of his 2014 tour were cancelled because of health problems caused by complications.
