Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus PADMAVATI, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, has been in the news ever since its announcement.
It is for the very first time that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is making an anti-hero film telling the tale of the greatest Sultan of Hindustan the sharp and ambitious Turk, Alauddin Khilji and the legendary Mewar Queen Padmavati, the latter known for her beauty, intellect and the courage with which she fought her nemesis the undefeated Alauddin.
The magnum opus also stars Shahid Kapoor who will essay Deepika Padukone's husband Raja Ratan Singh, a just ruler and a warrior who gave his all to the battlefield. The two are paired together for the very first time in PADMAVATI.
While the anticipation surrounding the film continues to build up, the makers are going all out to fiercely guard the looks of the film's principal actors.
Sources reveal that apart from increasing the security personnel on the sets, Ranveer, Deepika and Shahid will be escorted from the sets to their vanity vans by security guards in a makeshift tent, to guard their looks in the film.
As per the sources, “Even before the film has gone on floors, there has been ample speculation surrounding the look of each star. Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be presenting them like never before and for that reason there will be extremely tight security on the sets.
The only other instance where the actor's looks were so fiercely guarded was for a Mehboob Khan film.”
