Despite his initial struggles, Anurag did not bow down and conform to the verdict of the industry. He stuck to his guns and went about making movies that have come to define him. With his realistic presentation of edgy films, Anurag has carved out a place for himself in Bollywood with a loyal fan following.
In his own words, Anurag believes his passion drove him to action, without thinking about the consequences. After PAANCH had no takers, Anurag went on to making BLACK FRIDAY, which won him a lot of accolades.

DEV D, his contemporary depiction of Sarat Chandra’s classic DEVDAS, earned him recognition from audiences and critics. From here on things started falling in place.
