Imran Khan-Neil Nitin Mukesh clash averted

Clash between the younger breed has been avoided and that too rather amicably. Neil Nitin Mukesh‘s DAVID, which had come precariously close to taking on Imran Khan‘s MATRU KI BIJLI KA MANDOLA, would now be arriving at a later date.

”Earlier there were plans of the two films taking on each other. Even though MATRU… was announced quite some time back and its promo too was released a few weeks ago, DAVID director Bijoy Nambiar had surprised the industry by going on a social networking site and announces the same day as its release date,” comments an insider.

In fact the developments had even surprised some of the other prominent cast members of DAVID. There was an air of uncertainty and as January came closer, there was no sign yet of DAVID hitting the marquee.

However, things are much clearer now as the makers of DAVID have decided to arrive a few weeks ahead without making much fuss. This was confirmed by Neil himself who confirmed the developments. While the film would now release on the 1st of February, its first look would be out by the end of November.

‘There are huge plans for the film’s promotion. In fact the other two Davids from the film, Vikram and Vinay Virmani, would be flying down from Chennai and Canada respectively for taking the promotion forward. Even an otherwise reclusive Tabu, who would also be promoting LIFE OF PI, would be joining in. The plans have been put together and 1st February is final,” the source adds.
