While one waits to see how Suraj Pancholi‘s characterisation shapes up in the remake of HERO which is being produced by Salman Khan, closer home Tiger Shroff is already proceeding full steam with HERO PANTI. While this Sajid Nadiadwala production has been confirmed for arrival in February, 2014, one waits to say when does HERO goes on floors. In the process, 2014 could well see the year of one HERO and another’s HEROPANTI hogging all the limelight.

While some intense preparations went into grooming Tiger Shroff whose HEROPANTI is now on floors, director Sabbir Khan believes that his film is special.
‘The movie is about this boy who is young and looking life with new eyes. The film is title HEROPANTI because even the hero in the film is little more evolved than an average person. See, once in a life do you see a real life hero. Here, Tiger is playing someone who is a rebel. He doesn’t do something which the society asks him to do or what the generation gone by has followed,’ he says.

Considering the fact that Tiger’s father Jackie Shroff too had started his career as a male lead with HERO, where he had played a rebel, one wonders whether there are any similarities whatsoever. ‘The only similarity is that just like Jackie Sir came out of adverse situations in HERO and emerged as one, in HEROPANTI too the boy would come out as a hero,’ Sabbir says.
Meanwhile with Suraj out on bail now after facing some trying times during the last few weeks gone by, he is expected to be all the more prepared for his part of a rebel in the HERO remake.
Will it eventually turn out to be a clash of HERO and HEROPANTI? We would know in 2014.
