During last couple of decades, filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala has worked with a quantum of superstars, be it Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra or very recently Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif. In the middle of these star studded affairs, it had come across as a rather surprise when he chose to launch an absolute newcomer in the form of Tiger Shroff with another debutante Kriti Sanon.
No wonder, it was a huge high for Jackie Shroff who was looking for just the right launch-pad for his son, who had been preparing for turning into a Bollywood hero for three years.
"Well, there were number of filmmakers who had shown keen interest in launching Tiger. However, once Sajid came into picture, there was no question of looking elsewhere. He was absolutely sure of casting Tiger and launching him in a big way. Today, when I look at the promos of HEROPANTI and the whole drive around promotion and marketing, it is apparent that Sajid is going all out for the launch," says Jackie Shroff.
Ever since Tiger was 18 year old, industry had taken note of him and his physique. As time passed by, quite a few approached Jackie Shroff.
"Jabse beta bada hone laga, of course baatein bhi hone lagi," smiles Shroff Sr., "Meanwhile, Tiger was preparing too. Sajid saw him and said that he had to be given a full-on hero kind of launch. This is where HEROPANTI came into picture. The best part about Sajid is that he plays on the front foot. He is one of these lion hearted producers in whom you have to show complete trust and confidence. It is going perfectly right for Tiger."
Directed by Sabbir Khan, HEROPANTI releases all over on 23rd May.
