For Jacqueline Fernandez, being a part of KICK is tremendous enough for reasons more than one. While the obvious one is to co-star opposite none other than Salman Khan, not many are aware that she also has a substantial role to play in the film’s narrative. Meanwhile, what makes the film further special for Jackie, as she is fondly called, is the fact that she extends her working relationship with producer Sajid Nadiadwala who entrusted her to deliver goods in his first ever directorial outing.

“And that by itself is gracious enough on his part,” says Jackie who does arrive with two back to back hits behind her in the form of RACE 2 and MURDER 2, “After these films turned successful, I just couldn’t have gone ahead and signed anything and everything. Not that I was flooded with the best of the offers but then I couldn’t have compromised with a lesser film either. This is where Sajid offered me KICK. Now it doesn’t get bigger and better than that, can it?”
For someone who had got a new lease of her career with Nadiadwala’s earlier endeavors HOUSEFULL and HOUSEFULL 2, Jackie can’t thank the filmmaker enough for this hat-trick opportunity.
“After all he is the one who has given me two major hits, first with the special song and dance number ‘Dhanno‘ in HOUSEFULL and then a leading lady part in the sequel. Now in KICK, he has elevated my part so very well,” she smiles.
No wonder, she feels privileged to have actually featured in Sajid’s directorial outing.
“What I love about his working style is the fact that he keeps things very professional during a film’s making,” says Jacqueline, “When I was shooting for KICK, there was certain comfort when Nadiad (as she calls him) was around. Everyone is so calm around him. In fact the way he directs you, the way he gives you instructions, the way he enacts something for you – there is certain positive energy that comes in, which is just amazing.”
Now one looks forward to this positive energy running on the overall product as well, hence entertaining audience once the film releases all over this Friday.
