The superstitious ones in Bollywood will be alarmed and the tongues will begin to wag. Karan Johar donned his maroon BOMBAY VELVET jacket yet again. He had also worn it at the song launch of the film.
This was another song launch for a far more expensively made film that must do well at the Bollywood box office to recover its cost and earn it’s just commercial rewards. That’s why the producers of BAHUBALI have tied up with Dharma Productions to present and distribute the film in the Bollywood belt.
And even a remote comparison of the film with a box office disaster called BOMBAY VELVET can send the chill up the spine of film aficionados and set the alarm bells ringing. Velvet is not the favorite fabric of Bollywood, particular when it has a maroon hue.
Let us hope and pray BAHUBALI by its sheer visual power, opulence, and dramatic sweep rides over superstitions of all kinds and proves to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the Indian film industry.
