Guess this is turning out to be that time of the year when battle of supremacy amongst the leading ladies is showing its monstrous face all over again. Leaving aside all the new girls in the B-town who have been around for less than five years, the women who have been fighting it out amongst themselves for much longer are pretty much having a field day.
‘This is evident from the ongoing scene where most amongst Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Vidya Balan are witnessing frequent announcements around their films and that too in last few days itself,’ says a source, ‘It appears as if a war of sorts has begun, what with all these ladies in the reckoning for every biggie that is going on floors.’

and VIDYA BALAN
This can be evident from the fact that while there are strong murmurs of Deepika Padukone being Shahrukh Khan’s leading lady in Farah Khan’s HAPPY NEW YEAR, Katrina Kaif has bagged a biggie opposite Saif Ali Khan in Kabir Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala’s next.
”Meanwhile Karan Johar has roped in his favourite leading lady and friend Kareena Kapoor opposite Hrithik Roshan in Karan Malhotra’s SHUDDHI. Priyanka Chopra anyways has her hands full with KRRISH 3, GUNDAY and Mary Kom films in the making,” the source adds.
With Vidya Balan starring opposite Emraan Hashmi in Mohit Suri’s next, each of the Top-5 leading ladies in Bollywood has a lineup of major all set to go on floors.
”There is good work in a big film for everyone,” a filmmaker adds, ”However it is surprising to hear so much noise about actresses fighting amongst themselves to bag a film. After all, no one can get them all. Ultimately it all boils down to the date diary as there is hardly much to distinguish one from another.”
With others like Sonakshi Sinha, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Jacqueline Fernandez also picking up some of the most interesting films being made in the B-Town today, it could well be time for this war to take a full blown shape.
