Milan Luthria to turn producer

Adv.

Milan Luthria is now joining the league of directors who are turning producers. Once he is through with the release of ONCE UPON AY TIME IN MUMBAAI DOBAARA, he would be announcing details about his production house as well as the filmmakers who would be coming on board.

Says a close associate of Milan, "Production was in his mind for quite some time but after back to back films like ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI, THE DIRTY PICTURE and now OUATIMD, he just didn't have any breather to actively set up his production house. He has now kept time aside to work on this from September onwards."

Milan doesn't wish to direct every film for his production house and would instead expand the horizon by roping in other filmmakers as well. Also, he is looking at making films across genres.

"As a matter of fact the list of story ideas as well as directors has been identified as well. He doesn't wish to talk about it now since he wants all focus on his upcoming film. He is basically looking at giving an opportunity to fresh talent which is creative and is just waiting for a door to open and allow a first step in. Over last so many years his assistants as well as outsiders have been urging him to form a production house. After assisting Mahesh Bhatt on so many films and then being around as a director for close to a decade and a half, Milan feels that it is about time he floats a company of his own."

With a practical thinking head over his shoulders, Milan doesn't intend to go completely independent. Instead, he would be joining hands with Studio(s) to streamline the entire movie making process.

On contacted, Milan did confirm the news. "Yes, I would be producing films as well." However all attempts to extract further details around the directors in the pipeline proved to be futile. "An announcement around this would be made soon," he said.
