As was by and large expected and predicted, Excel Entertainment’s Anil, Shefali, Priyanka, Farhan, Ranveer and Anushka starrer, DIL DHADAKNE DO, was off to quite a good start at 'A' center multiplexes (around 40 percent) even during the morning shows. The collections picked up substantially during the latter shows. The single screens were obviously lower (around 20 percent), as the contents did not cater to audiences frequenting these theaters. The film is expected to end up with a good weekend haul with the multiplexes sure to witness good footfalls.
As per the initial reports with us, DIL DHADAKNE DO has embarked upon a superb start in the Gulf as well as in the US.
Meanwhile, the two releases of last week, ISHQEDARRIYAAN and WELCOME TO KARACHI, have both failed to appeal to the audience, who preferred TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS, even in its second week. Comparatively speaking it was the Arshad-Jackky starrer WELCOME TO KARACHI which fared much better as opposed to ISHQEDARRIYAAN, which faced outright rejection.
Coming to the movie of the year (first half to be precise), the Madhavan, Kangana and Deepak starrer, TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS, the film was as stable as the Rock of Gibraltar, adding another 45 crore to its tally, thus netting 115 crore in two weeks from India. The first blockbuster of 2015, TANU WEDS MANU RETURNS, continued its superb run in the overseas as well, even during the second week.
