Nawazuddin Siddiqui may not have had a very steady & smooth Bollywood journey, but he has never failed to prove his ability & versatility as an actor. Nawazuddin, who will now be seen in the upcoming Bollywood film BADLAPUR said that his character in the film has a humorous side to it.

”My character in BADLAPUR is positive. There is a lot of humour in it. How can you create humour even in a dark and intense situation, is what my character is about.” Said the actor.
He further spoke about the story of the film saying, ”The story is about two people. If you go colour wise, one is red, blue and then the colour changes. Then there is a transformation in both characters. One character, who is good turns bad & the other character which is bad turns good.”
When asked about his experience on working with Varun, who is his junior, he said, “When you are working together, there is no junior & senior. When you do a scene, your character should be seen and not that he is a junior or he is a superstar. If you think this, you are disrespecting his work and you aren’t considering him as a character. So, when I am working with someone, I see my co-actor & the character. That is what I think. Till now, I have learnt this only.”
We have got to see much more of Varun Dhawan in the BADLAPUR trailer, promos & even at the promotional event, so when Nawaz was asked if he ever felt over shadowed by Varun he said, “I never felt overshadowed. In SARFAROSH, I had done a 40 seconds role only. When I get a part, I have a competition with myself that can I reach to the director’s sensibilities or no. This is my main struggle. Even if I am doing a film today, I apply the same process. I don’t pay attention to who overshadows whom.”
Also starring Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi, Divya Dutta, Radhika Apte, Vinay Pathak & others, BADLAPUR is directed by Sriram Raghavan & produced by Dinesh Vijan & Sunil Lulla. The film will release on 20th February, 2015.
