Just as expected and predicted, the audience cold shouldered the new films and preferred to watch the older releases, NH10 and DUM LAGA KE HAISHA, especially the former.

To elaborate, the two new releases of the week, Shadab Mirza directed BARKHA and Karan Raj Kanwar’s YAHAAN SABKI LAGI HAI, barely managed a 5-10 percent start and will struggle for survival.
Meanwhile, last week’s HUNTERRR flattered to deceive, despite a steady low end collection show, netting 8 crore plus during the opening week. Having said that the low budget HUNTERRR with an all inclusive price tag of 8 crore will break even, once non theatrical rights are accounted for.
Concluding with Anushka Sharma’s debut production venture, NH10, the film saw quite a steady second week of around 8 crore thus netting nearly 29 crore in two weeks from India along with $1m from overseas. The modestly budgeted (13-14 crore all inclusive) film is a semi-hit and continues the welcome trend of female oriented successes like QUEEN, MARY KOM and MARDAANI.
