For quite some time there have been stories floating around Bipasha Basu doing a UK production titled SNAPSHOT WEDDING. A romcom with a mix of British and Indian actors, it was supposed to go on floors at least three years ago. However there hasn’t been much progress on the film ever since then and though there have been tidbits around it being revived, even Bipasha is clueless about when would it eventually go on floors.

”Bipasha was approached for this English film many years ago. That was the time when she had started showing keen interest in doing films from the West as well. While SINGULARITY was finalised and she even shot for that film, she didn’t hear anything from the makers of SNAPSHOT WEDDING,’ informs a close associate of the actress, ”Meanwhile she also got busy with her other Bollywood assignments like DUM MAARO DUM, PLAYERS and JODI BREAKERS. Now that she is neck deep down into the filming of RAAZ 3, she is hearing about SNAPSHOT WEDDING again. Let’s see how and when things become further concrete.”

CHECK OUT: Bipasha regrets for not being paired with SRK

As per the brief being shared, SNAPSHOT WEDDING is about ‘a son of a retiring Priest who on a rebound decides on an unconventional route to find marriage’. While actors like Robert Hardy and Ross Kemp are the foreign names involved in the film, Anupam Kher is another Indian actor expected to join the cast other than Bipasha. The film would mark the directorial debut of Raza Mallal who has made a few short films in the past.

When contacted, Bipasha was a tad non-committal about the film. She said, ”Yes, I did read the script of SNAPSHOT WEDDING 2-3 years back. It is a nice romcom and would make for an interesting watch. However the producers couldn’t get a leading man then. Also there were certain date issues. Now I am hearing that the film is being put into place now. Let’s see how things progress now.”
