Talking about her upcoming film Sonal said, "In the 1962 Indo-China war, two Rajputs battalion were completely wiped out by the Chinese. Everyone knows that the 1962 war was an extremely imbalanced one and unfairly tilted towards the Chinese. Also, the usual ethical war practices associated with a battle were never followed. There were instances when the Chinese attacked the Indians from behind during a ceasefire while the soldiers were offering their prayers.

So in 1967, our soldiers Avenged their brothers who lost their lives in 1962. It's their story. Told by no better than Mr JP Dutta who in my opinion is a legend with a reason. Born a Rajput myself, my role in Paltan is my tribute to the members of my community who have laid down their lives in protecting our Motherland." The actress will soon be seen in Mahesh Manjrekar's untitled next.
