Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal, who is keen to play Narendra Modi on-screen, feels that it is quite tricky to do a film on former Gujarat CM and now a PM.
Though it was announced a year back that Paresh Rawal is set to do a biopic on Narendra Modi, when he was campaigning for elections and yet to assume the position of India’s Prime Minister, the actor is now contemplating on how to take the film ahead, since Modi’s journey has just begun.
”We are still scripting the film and it is almost 70-80% complete. It is a tricky film because we usually make biopics of people, when their careers have ended or there is a full-stop in their careers. Whereas, in the case of Narendra Modi it is just a take-off! So we are facing a problem in how to take the story ahead or what direction to be given to the script,” says the senior actor, when asked about the status of the movie.
Ask BJP candidate and actor Paresh Rawal, who won the Ahmedabad East seat, if he would be more inclined towards his political career and he plainly says , ”I will concentrate on both. I will not leave acting and I can say that categorically. Also, I will not make a political career. The five years which I’ve got I want to dedicate whole-heartedly because this is a huge responsibility which I have taken and will not step back from it. I can’t leave acting because that’s my soul. If I quit it, I think I won’t be a human anymore.”
Meanwhile, Paresh is gearing up for upcoming release RAJA NATWARLAL, starring Emraan Hashmi, Humaima Malick, Kay Kay Menon, which is set to release on August 29, 2014
