In his fourth Hindi film, Prabhudheva is now repeating ROWDY RATHORE heroine Sonakshi Sinha. As per the director, this stems from the fact that not just does he share a very comfortable working relationship with her; she is also one of the best commercial heroines he has come across.

On being asked about the tuning that he has formed with Sonakshi, Prabhudheva says, “Why not? She is doing everything today, right from acting to dancing. She is a ‘no problem’ heroine. She knows what works for the film and reacts very well to a scene. If you ask me, today Sonakshi stands out as one of the most commercial heroines around. She is just excellent as a Bollywood leading lady.”
While she comes with quintessential Bollywood genes, one can also see South elements coming into play for R… RAJKUMAR, what with Sonakshi coming up with the kind of expressions and ‘ada’ that are usually associated with heroines from Tamil and Telugu cinema. One wonders if Prabhudheva personally taught her such exaggerated expressions?
Laughs Prabhudheva, “I can’t tell if this is exaggerated. All I can say though is that she is doing exactly that in the film which the subject and genre demands. She had totally freed herself in ROWDY RATHORE and now in R… RAJKUMAR also she is absolutely ‘bindaas’. It is the character, story and the scene which is making her do everything on the screen which is required.”
We would look forward to that and more on screen once this Viki Rajani and Sunil Lulla production with Shahid Kapoor in the lead and music by Pritam releases all over 6th December 2013.
