He is launching his book, ‘Sunshine Lanes’ today at the Jaipur Literature Festival.
Prasoon Joshi’s book will be a compilation of 60 odd Films and Music album song lyrics which he has written over the course of the last 10 years. Accompanying the lyrics will be a one page writers note regarding each song- the thought process behind it, anecdote or sharing of a perspective.
Prasoon Joshi is amongst the contemporary songwriter, who has kept the tradition of Poetry alive in the medium of the Indian film songs.
Prasoon already showed his talent with films like HUM TUM, RANG DE BASANTI , FANAA, TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, DELHI 6, PHIR MILENGE, BLACK, LONDON DREAMS, CHITTAGONG etc. He has also written albums like -‘Silk Route’, ‘Ab ke Sawwan’, etc.
He has created songs with fresh thoughts and extraordinary craft. His Poetry and Songs have a mass connect as well as are respected by connoisseurs.
