In the news for the last couple of years, the wait had turned out to be rather long for Meera Chopra, cousin of Priyanka Chopra, to make her Bollywood debut. Now that she is all set to arrive on the big screen for a Hindi film, it would be as a ghost in GANG OF GHOSTS.
Though she was well aware of the fact that this was an ensemble affair and didn't quite present her as a central protagonist, Meera – who has acted in a dozen odd South films already – didn't mind taking the plunge.
'I had told her that GANG OF GHOSTS isn't quite a hero-heroine film but still, she loved the script so much that she wanted to be a part of the film. On my part, I have made sure that she has good songs in the film and her presentation has been like that of a heroine. She is the youngest ghost in the film,' says Satish Kaushik who has directed the likes of Sridevi, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai, amongst others.
He is happy that Meera is making her debut with the film. 'Normally when girls make their debut, they want to be a center of attraction. I am very happy and thankful to Meera that she didn't put any such conditions for her debut with GANG OF GHOSTS.'
Now we would love to see the beautiful ghost on screen once this Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain and Satish Kaushik-produced GANG OF GHOSTS releases all over on 21st March, 2014.
